Put Your name On It

Preserving an Oregon treasure

The Column is exposed to extreme weather conditions, particularly during winter months. Rain and wind batter the Column and its beautiful facade. These conditions can trap dirt and harbor biological growth on the carved surface of the Column, darkening the artwork to the point that its colors and designs are almost indiscernible. Your support of the Column contributes to regular preservation efforts by the Friends of the Astoria Column.
