The Astoria Column park site has picnic tables, benches, public restrooms and access to the Cathedral Tree Trail for hiking. Telescopes provide views of the Columbia River, the Astoria-Megler Bridge, Young’s Bay and Saddle Mountain. The grounds are open daily from sunup to sundown.
The onsite gift shop entices visitors with sweatshirts and tees, books, local candy, and unique gifts. Don’t forget the gliders!

Parking at the Astoria Column park site atop Coxcomb Hill is limited. There are approximately 50 parking spaces, including a few larger spaces designed for buses and motorhomes. Parking during the summer months can be full for brief periods of time, so please plan accordingly. Annual parking pass is $5.00.
The Astoria Column provides a wonderful setting for outdoor weddings, reunions, birthday parties and corporate events. Please note, however, that the park site is a public space and cannot be closed for private events.
